Warren was born on September 19, 1935, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Joseph and Annie Stoll. He was number 11 in line of 18 children. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country.

Warren was united in marriage to Darlene Manning on September 6, 1957, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The couple settled north of Frazee, where they raised their family. In 1992, they moved to Detroit Lakes. Warren was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Frazee and later First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes.

His love was woodworking which included chests and toys for his grandkids, Bucksaws and other novelty items. Also, if anyone needed something fixed, he would fix it for them. Only payment he would accept was dilly Bars! When visiting you could count on a cup of coffee and a new joke.

Warren is survived by his children, Victoria (Les) Taves of Detroit Lakes, Scott (Linda) Stoll of Warroad, Tim Stoll of Detroit Lakes, and Lynn (Todd) Taves of Warroad; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Roy (Bonnie) Stoll, Pennsylvania and 1 sister, Carol (Winston) Hensley, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene Stoll; parents, Joseph and Annie Stoll; 15 of his brothers and sisters; son in law, Jeff Baker and grandson, Johnny Alexander.
