The formation of a family center in Frazee is one step closer to reality. During Wednesday’s Becker County Children’s Initiative board meeting, the board approved $40,000 for a family center in Frazee for 1997. Frazee could get a family center as early as January, according to BCCI director Bruce Wizek. The center would provide many family services, supplied by multi-county nursing, Becker County Humans Services and the county school system. Potential services include child immunizations, family counseling, application center for heating assistance and food stamps, and employment assistance. The center would be operated by family leadership groups made up of school officials, parents and community members.
