To the editor,

When I recently viewed the movie “Reagan,” one of the events covered – took me back to the early 1960’s. Having joined the Air Force in 1960, I was on Altus Force Base – A B-52 Base at the time, in Oct. 1962. We were awakened at 4 a.m. to load all planes with nuclear bombs. For 13 days the world waited for “The Peaceful Resolution” that came.

Thanks to the leadership of President John F. Kennedy, who believed in a strong military, and kept his cool, held back those who wanted to do a “First Strike.” He got on the phone with Nikita Khrushchev – as a Dad and Grandfather, said we don’t want to do this! They worked out “A peaceful Solution.”

Reagan also believed in military strength! During his inaugural address, 52 hostages were released. In a peaceful way, he brought down the Soviet Union.

Now there is so much talk about a “Third World War,” and that it could become “nuclear!” And the way both the U.S., and Great Britain, both keep” poking the bear” – Russia – provoking it to go nuclear, this concerns this old man, also a father, very much! I have had a great life in this “blessed country,” but what about our children and grandchildren? So now we have a very important choice to make! Trump showed strength! What we have now, oh so weak.

Trump’s heart hates seeing our young come home, missing an arm or leg, or worse in a box! For your families I would Vote For President Trump!

And Please – care enough to vote! By now it should be easy enough to see that Trump is willing to risk his life for us. The least we can do is vote for a strong Commander-in-Chief.
