Notes from the Chief
Notes from the Farm…Haying season is done for us for the second time. There was a patch back by the honeybees that we forgot about, just a few acres. We also brought one group of cows home from the pasture. Bringing the cows home early will help the pasture in the long run by not grazing it so short.
One little bit of excitement that happened last week, and many of you already know, is that our little enterprise, Blue Line Farm, has been named this year’s Outstanding Conversationist by the Becker County Soil and Water Conversation District.
Our multigenerational family farm has been around since August Trieglaff settled in 1871. More to come on the efforts that lead to this wonderful award for our family and farm.
Have a nice week!
