Notes from the Chief

Friday, Aug. 14

1:55 p.m. Elderly party called the PD to ask about getting out of the facility they were in as they were not happy with the care. Officer was able to locate a relative to make contact with the party.

1:57 p.m. Assist with a medical.

10:21 p.m. Assist with a civil standby as a landlord was in the process of eviction.

Saturday, Aug. 15

8:09 p.m. Assist with a medical on St Hwy 87.

8:45 p.m. Party turned in a bike helmet found at the Lion’s Park. It can be picked up at the PD.

11:31 p.m. Officer found one juvenile female walking by the high school. Officer called mom who came to get the daughter.

Sunday, Aug. 16

9:02 p.m. 911 hang-up on Ash Ave W. Phone was in a kid’s backpack and the phone dialed 911.

Monday, Aug. 17

1:54 p.m. Mother reporting that her daughter lost her fishing equipment at the beach.  Nothing turned in so far.

2:38 p.m. Assist with a medical.

4:17 p.m. Welfare check requested on an adult female who was going through a rough time. Officer made contact, had a visit and gave information of some resources.  

8:33 p.m. Resident let a neighbor work on her car and was going to give the vehicle to the male for payment for fixing the vehicle. Male left the area with the vehicle which still had the female’s personal property in it.  

Tuesday, Aug. 18

9:51 a.m. Background check for landlord.

11:14 a.m. Resident concerned about a neighbor’s dog. Dog appeared to be taken care of.

11:27 a.m. Vehicle unlock on Main Ave E.

2:33 p.m. Business reporting two suspicious males in the area. Officer was able to identify one male in a video but not the other. Officer did not locate the two males.

3:06 p.m. City ordinance complaint about a property. Officer talked with homeowner about the issues.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

7:38 a.m. Vehicle unlock on Main Ave E.

11:46 a.m. Information passed along for a background check.

11:58 a.m. Assist Perham PD with talking with an adult male who took a TV from his mother who lives in Perham. Officer went to the house, talked with the grandson who called his dad who said he could turn the TV over to the officer. The TV was picked up by Perham Officer.

1:01 p.m. Business owner reporting possible fraud. Under investigation.

Thursday, Aug. 20

7:05 a.m. Traffic complaint of a road rage incident at the gas station. Officer found the suspect vehicle on the city cameras. Citation for stop sign violation issued to the male who was causing the issues.

8:32 p.m. Background check for a landlord.
