Notes from the Chief

Friday, Aug. 9

5:13 p.m. Report of a young child walking on St Hwy 87. Child was back to their residence by the time officer got to the area.

9:07 p.m. Report of a sexual assault that happened in Frazee in April.

10:54 p.m. Report of a sexual assault that happened in Frazee.

Saturday, Aug. 10

1:20 a.m. Assist with a shots fired call on US Hwy 10.

10:57 p.m. Male party reporting his ex was at his place and she won’t leave. Officer tried to mediate the situation but female party had a snoot full and would not listen to reason. Male party agreed to separate himself from the situation for the evening.

Monday, Aug. 12

12:51 p.m. Report of someone smoking the devil’s lettuce in an apartment building. Officer did not smell any odors in the apartment.

8:05 p.m. Assist with a medical which stemmed from a dog bite. Dog owner was cited for dog at large and fail to register dog with the city. The dog was also deemed a dangerous dog by the Police Chief. Dog owner must comply with provisions as set out in city ordinance.

8:55 p.m. Welfare check requested on a female and kids. They are not married and she has indicated that she does not want to be with the male. Per Minnesota statute, the unmarried mother has full legal custody and rights to the kids.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

11:02 a.m. Loose dog near the elementary school. Dog taken to Marshmallow Foundation in DL.

6:12 p.m. 911 hang-up in an apartment building. Officer did not locate any distress.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

9:16 a.m. Parking complaint on 6th St SE.

2:44 p.m. Report of kids messing around at the ballfields. Kids were gone before officer arrived.

Thursday, Aug. 15

10:39 a.m. Report of a suspicious male near the elementary playground. Male lived nearby and was riding his bicycle in the area. Officer made him aware of the concern.
