Downtown speeder clocked at 43 mph on Main Avenue

Friday, March 15
3:10 p.m. Male reporting being harassed by his ex-girlfriend. Officer gave options for a Harassment Restraining Order.
7:35 p.m. Two juvenile males were kicking a pop machine. Officer talked with the boys about proper behavior.
9:32 p.m. Report of a domestic assault. Male party was hearing voices and no domestic occurred. Male party was arrested on a Mahnomen County warrant.
Saturday, March 16
5:47 p.m. Traffic stop for failure to display current tabs.
9 p.m. 911 hang-up that rang to Otter Tail County but happened in Frazee. Officer was able to locate the house where the call came from. A female who was recently off of probation was drinking and was causing a disturbance.
Sunday, March 17
12:17 a.m. Mother who is in another state calling in a welfare check on her daughter. Daughter was ok.
Tuesday, March 19
10:25 a.m. Report of an open door on a church in town. Door was blowing in the wind. Officer secured the door and called a church member.
11:43 a.m. Tenant reporting a burglary of personal items from their trailer house. Officer did some checking and the landlord is the one who took some of the property. Unclear who owned the house as there was not a title transfer. Investigation ongoing, possible civil matter.
2:26 p.m. Vehicle unlock.
Wednesday, March 20
2:58 p.m. Resident on Main Ave E. reporting a suspicious vehicle near his house Monday night around 10 p.m.
9:35 p.m. Mother from out of state calling again for a welfare check on a different daughter. Daughter was A-OK and probably doing better on her own than with mom. Officer told mom that she could move back and be a good mom instead of choosing drugs.
10:04 p.m. Dad reporting that his teenage son took off after a disagreement. Dad wanted it documented because son is on probation.
Thursday, March 21
12:45 p.m. Female whose partner was arrested on a domestic assault charge called wondering how to contact the male in jail. Officer told her that she was not allowed to talk to the male because she was the victim.
1:14 p.m. Assist with a medical.
5:05 p.m. Adult female driving past the Cornerstone and saw some kids playing and wrestling in the grass. She was concerned about the behavior and called the police.
Friday, March 22
12:15 p.m. Welfare check on some kids regarding the living conditions of the house. Officer and deputy talked with the parents and kids and there were not any concerns.
5:55 p.m. Report of a possibly intoxicated male in a business. Officer arrived and gave the male a ride home.
6:18 p.m. Traffic stop with citation issued for speeding. 43 mph on Main Ave W.
Saturday, March 23
8:21 p.m. Assist with a medical.
Sunday, March 24
2:15 a.m. Officer met the Frazee High School Band at the overpass and gave them an escort to the high school. Probably the second-best highlight of the trip for the kids!
Monday, March 25
4:04 p.m. Assist with a medical.
Tuesday, March 26
5:57 p.m. Welfare check on a male driver who was sleeping in his vehicle. Male woke up when officer talked with him. Male also had a warrant and was transported to the sheriff’s office to pay the bail.
7:20 p.m. Tenant reporting that the furnace in their trailer was not working and the landlords were not wanting to help. Issue was eventually taken care of.
Wednesday, March 27
11:33 a.m. Landlord issue with water running in an apartment, draining the hot water for the building and tenant will not answer the landlord. Officer accompanied landlord to the apartment. Landlord opened the door and a female was sleeping inside. No issues were found, possibly other maintenance issues at hand.
Thursday, March 28
5:38 p.m. Assist with getting kids and coaches in the high school as the doors were locked.
8:18 p.m. Complaint of neighbor’s dogs not on a leash and occasionally in their yard. Officer relayed the information to the neighbors.
