Notes from the Chief
Well, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve typed more than the basic report and my fans are surprisingly quiet. I have not even heard from the Rochert Stalker.
Our city cameras are up and running very well. We have used them several times for both major and minor incidences. We will be in the process of adding more cameras to key intersections and areas that are concerning.
Wednesday the 23rd Old Man Winter and Mother Nature had another nasty domestic incident. I am not sure who won, because it’s still -17 windchill as I’m typing this report.
I don’t think Old Man Winter learns his lessons very well because he keeps coming back for more of Mother Nature’s fury. I think it’s time I give him some advice so here it is. Hey Old Man Winter…When you are dealing with Mother Nature you have two choices. You can either be right or be happy when dealing with her.
If you keep trying to be right all the time, we end up with white out conditions and windchill so cold out that eyelashes freeze shut. If you just accept it and be happy, we end up with sunny cold, brisk days. Now, I know that Old Man Winter is going to scoff at my suggestion, but take it from me, I know what I’m talking about. If I would have focused on being happy instead of being right, I wouldn’t be divorced. Have a nice week!
