Notes from the Chief

Friday, Dec. 10

3:18 p.m. Assist human services with a home visit to let parents know their kids were placed on a hold.

Monday, Dec. 13

3:26 p.m. Report of school bus stop arm violation.  

4:21 p.m. 911 hang up called in.  Child playing with phone.

Tuesday, Dec. 14

2:23 p.m. Welfare check on elderly female.  Female transported by EMS.

4:32 p.m. Report of a student making threats.  Officer followed up and determined no threat of violence.

5 p.m. Loose dog in town.  Owner from Co Hwy 10 notified.

Wednesday, Dec. 15

10:05 a.m. Assist Bemidji PD with looking for a runaway female. It was determined that the runaway female was in a vehicle that used to belong to a person from Frazee but the vehicle was sold and the title not transferred.  

6:25 p.m. Assist with a domestic assault on Pleasant View Road.

Thursday, Dec. 16

9:45 a.m. Hit and run on W Main Ave. Under investigation.

6:05 p.m. Report of a dually pickup with heavy trailer on S Lake St that was blocking traffic. Vehicle combination didn’t have enough speed to get up the hill by the beach to get into town. Driver was from Alabama and not too familiar with ice and snow.  Officer helped him back up a couple hundred yards and he then got enough speed to make it up the hill.  Driver fueled up and made it back to Hwy. 10.
