Notes from the Chief
Tales from the past…Several years ago, myself and a deputy were looking for a male party with a felony warrant. We had knowledge that he may be at a residence in Frazee. We knocked on the door and they asked who it was. I replied, “Landlord.” Apparently some people don’t like to open their door for the cops. The door opened and there was quite a surprise when we were standing there. There was a male in the background that was jumping around and almost causing a scene. He was not very happy that we were there and he was not the person we were looking for. He was telling us that we couldn’t say we were the landlord, claiming that was “Identify Theft.”
To this day, no landlord has come forward claiming the stolen identity.
Have a nice day.
