Friday, Sept. 27
7:54 a.m. Traffic stop for turn signal out.
8:28 a.m. Report of a school bus stop arm violation on Lake St. S.
11:26 a.m. Gas line hit behind city hall. Minnesota Energy on scene to take care of the issue.
4:31 p.m. Traffic stop for stop sign violation.
4:59 p.m. Traffic stop for stop sign violation.
9:10 p.m. Traffic stop for improper lane use i.e., wrong way.
10:23 p.m. Traffic stop for tail light and headlight issues on vehicle.
Saturday, Sept. 28
3:24 p.m. Officer talked with some juvenile boys who were playing in the fenced-in area at the beach construction project.
4:47 p.m. Assist with a medical.
7:07 p.m. Report of a yellow lab in the area of 4th St SE and Balsam Ave. There have been several calls on the loose canine, but officers can not catch the dog or it is gone by the time officers arrive. If anyone has an idea of who the yellow lab belongs to, please call (218) 334-4993 and leave a message.
7:14 p.m. Officer talked with a juvenile male who was riding his bicycle in the wrong lane on Lake St. N.
7:55 p.m. Report of kids playing with matches and causing some damage to a house. Parents were notified as was the landlord.
Sunday, Sept. 29
1:23 a.m. Officer found an overhead door open on Main Ave. Officer closed the door but could not talk with anyone in the house. Officer talked with the homeowners the next day.
9:11 p.m. Traffic stop for stop sign violation.
Monday, Sept. 30
9:48 a.m. Golden lab in a yard again. Dog gone before officer arrived to area.
10:28 a.m. Parking citations issued to two vehicles.
1:56 p.m. Minor motor vehicle crash at Co Hwy 29 and River Drive N.
2:47 p.m. Resident called about cutting up a tree that was on their property and the neighbors.
4:58 p.m. Driving complaint on Co Hwy 10.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
11:13 a.m. Yellow lab in yard again. Unable to locate.
5:08 p.m. Report of some kids on the walking bridge over Co Hwy 10 and someone spat on a vehicle as it went under the bridge. Officer identified the kids as being from DL and called a parent of the spitter.
7:40 p.m. Traffic stop for white tail lights.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
7:40 a.m. Traffic stop for brake light out.
9:36 a.m. Report of the theft of a small ATV from a residence.
3:26 p.m. Officer witnessed a near crash at Lake and Main due to one driver not following the proper order to proceed from a 4 way stop sign. Officer talked with the driver that went out of order causing the two drivers to exchange one finger waves.
4:59 p.m. Background checks for a local business.
6:01 p.m. Local resident reporting that he had an issue with a co-worker today and wanted it documented as there were some threats made.
6:35 p.m. Resident calling to report that there was a strange male in their yard and left a note asking about a vehicle in their yard that was not for sale. Caller provided a picture of the male that a neighbor provided. Officer was able to identify the male for record purposes.
Thursday, Oct. 3
8:54 a.m. High school staff turned a vape over to officer. Citation to be issued for possession on school property.
1:43 p.m. Elderly female locked herself out of the house. Officer was able to help her get into the house.
2:38 p.m. Assist with a gas drive-off.
2:45 p.m. Report of an adult male party who seemed to be pleasuring himself while out in his yard. Officer talked to the male about his actions and how it needs to be taken indoors.
