Notes from the Chief

Notes from the Chief…First things this week I would like to talk about is the Bike Rodeo we are having at the Frazee Police Department on Saturday May 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Bike Rodeo will help with the city’s classification as a Bike Friendly City for which we are up for renewal. This is the first time I have been in charge of such an event so we will hope for the best.

We will have some fun safety information for kids 14 and under. We will talk about the rules of the road, safe riding and hand signals. There will be a few different obstacle courses too.

We also plan on giving away some bicycles and helmets to a few lucky kids. I don’t know if there will be 8 kids there or 30 or more. With that being said, I am wondering if any of my fine readers are interested in being a sponsor for the event.

We are looking at giving away 3-5 new bicycles, depending on the cost as well as several helmets and maybe other accessories. We will also have hot dogs and drinks for the participants.

If you would like to be a sponsor, please drop off your business or personal information as well as a sponsorship fee at the Frazee City Office, Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thank you,

Chief Tyler
