Notes from the Chief

Friday, Jan. 9

12:30 a.m. Officer noticed movement at the skating rink warming house. A couple of young adults were enjoying ice skating late in the evening.

9:37 a.m. Report from a motorist that they blew a tire on a trailer between Frazee and Evergreen.

11:17 a.m. Female calling to the PD looking to contact her brother for family information.  

4:45 p.m. Resident reporting two elementary boys possibly messing with her vehicle.  Officer talked with the boys and they denied any tampering with the vehicle.

5:24 p.m. Assist with an object in the roadway on US Hwy 10. Officer removed the lawn chair type item from the roadway.

5:49 p.m. Report of vandalism at the warming house. A bunch of kids were horsing around and the window on the door was pushed in.

Saturday, Jan. 10

3:54 p.m. Assist with a home check of an elderly person who has not been at home for some time. A relative was escorted by an officer and deputy to check on the house.

4:40 p.m. Assist with a medical.

5:51 p.m. Assist a grandma with tracking down the grandkids who were with their dad and it was past the time to bring them home. Officer found dad and the kids at another house and dad brought the kids back.

8:07 p.m. Assist with a warrant arrest of Christopher Mills, 36, Frazee.

10:23 p.m. Officer helped answer questions for a resident about foster child issues they were having.

10:58 p.m. Assist with a medical. 

11:13 p.m. Report of a wrong way driver on US Hwy 10. Unable to locate.

Sunday, Jan. 11

5:37 p.m. Warning issued to a driver who parked on the wrong side of Lake St S. while unloading a snowblower. Driver moved to the other side of the road.

6:22 p.m. Neighbor reporting possibly suspicious activity across the street at a residence where they were gone. Report was that there was a vehicle in the yard that should not be there. Officer drove by and saw the lights in question, which were from the neighboring house behind the other house. Possible ocular degeneration due to age on the reporting party.  

Monday, Jan. 12

9:59 a.m. Anonymous report from Crimestoppers of Minnesota of a person possibly driving drunk and having parties with underage people present. The information is useless as we need to know of these events when they are happening not the morning or day after. Also, anonymous complaints do not hold much water as we still need a valid reason to pull someone over or a named complainant at the time. If you see something, say something at the time. 11:49 a.m. Assist with removing a vehicle from a property where there is a restraining order in place.

Tuesday, Jan. 13

12:55 p.m. 911 hang-up on Main Ave W. All ok at the business.

1:16 p.m. Officer asked to assist at the Frazee Rest Stop due to a male and female arguing. Officer arrived on scene and found a female that was passed out. The female was picked up from Minnesota Correctional Facility, Shakopee (women’s prison) by her sister’s ex-boyfriend. On the way back to Crookston (Polk County) she decided that she needed to have a Four Loco malt beverage. The incident at the rest area was more of the male helping the intoxicated female. Frazee officer did not take any action on the possible conditions of release violation. Officer did, however, relay the information to Polk County Authorities.  

3:39 p.m. Assist with a medical.

Wednesday, Jan. 14

7:59 a.m. Report of threats at a business. Under investigation.

8:37 a.m. Report of possible court order violation.

6:53 p.m. Report of a disturbance at an apartment building. Officer did not find any sources of the disturbance.

Thursday, Jan. 15

8:43 a.m. Traffic stop with warning for speed and expired tabs.

9:44 a.m. Resident reporting suspicious activity with items hanging in a tree in her yard.

12:37 p.m. Report of the death of an elderly male of natural causes.
